    Universal Eco Chemical has developed and applied patented technology transferred through collaborative research with the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT) to produce high-performance cleaning agents for industrial and marine use. These cleaning products minimize the use of surfactants while providing excellent cleaning effects.


    In particular, among industrial cleaning agents, our marine cleaners—designed for cleaning the cargo tanks of chemical tankers—address issues found in conventional cleaning agents, such as toxicity, tank damage, and insufficient cleaning power. Our eco-friendly, water-soluble cleaning agent for marine chemical tankers reduces sludge generation during cleaning, making tank maintenance easier and extending the tank’s lifespan.


    With over 10 years of experience in overseas sales and supply chain management of water-soluble marine cleaners in Singapore, a major logistics hub in Asia, we have successfully launched a product that received official certification from the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in December 2021. This achievement was made possible through two years of collaborative development with KRICT, allowing us to compete with globally renowned premium brands through quality and service, overcoming disadvantages in funding and scale

Technical principle

Universal Eco Chemical develops and manufactures eco-friendly, water-soluble cleaning agents for marine chemical tankers, specifically designed for cleaning cargo tanks. These products address issues found in conventional cleaning agents, such as toxicity, tank damage, and insufficient cleaning performance. Additionally, they minimize sludge generation during cleaning, improving tank maintenance convenience and extending the tank’s lifespan.

Specifically, this technological development significantly lowers the critical micelle concentration (CMC), allowing for excellent surfactant effects even at much lower concentrations compared to traditional surfactants. The advanced micelle structure ensures effective cleaning performance, and the product has successfully been registered as an IMO cleaning additive.
